Welcome to Children with CML.org.uk. I have set up this online support group to help and support families and patients who have been affected by Ph+ CML (Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia). Ph+CML is a disease which affects the white blood cells and is found mainly in adults with an average age of 50 at diagnosis. It is very rare to find children with this disease, which is why I specifically wanted to set up this site because when my son was diagnosed back in 2003 there was very little support and information available and no support sites aimed exculsively at children and their carers.

Since then, I know of several children who have been diagnosed with Ph+ CML and after speaking with their parents they tell me they have felt exactly the same way as I felt with no where to turn. Please feel free to get in touch via the forum, or email.

I have featured three stories on the site. My own son, Aaron. Rebecca who is just starting her journey with CML and BMT(bone marrow transplant) and also Max, who, like Aaron underwent a successful Bone Marrow Transplant. Please do read their stories .
